Job summary

ABB seeks a CoE Field Service Operations Manager for the Data Center Division in the United States. You will run day-to-day service activities for the Data Center Services Center of Excellence, ensuring we exceed customer expectations and deliver high-quality field service.

Remote within the U.S. with preference for Western/Mountain time zones; travel up to 50%; reports to the Director, Data Center Services Center of Excellence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business or commensurate experience.
• Sound knowledge of Data Center Start-up and Commissioning strategies, field service personnel development and the electrical industry within the Data Center market
• Knowledge of MS suite of products including MS Project, Google suite of products (Sheets, Docs, Drive, and Slides), SAP, and project issue resolution software (BIM, Compass, CxAlloy, Procore, etc.)
• Must be able to interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Technical understanding of power delivery equipment: transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays, etc.
• Maintain high standards for safety and housekeeping and assure compliance with all environmental regulations
• Strong leadership, clear communication, teamwork, and a proven customerfocused mindset.
• Willing to travel up to 50% of time
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

• Implements and runs day-to-day service activities for the Data Center Services Center Of Excellence in the United States.
• Develops surge team capability for the Data Center segment and the Field Services organization.
• Oversees Surge Team onboarding, training, compliance, and validation of timesheets and invoices.
• Provides leadership, coaching, and development for Field Service Engineers/Technicians.
• Collaborates across ABB teams to assign personnel, resolve technical issues, support project execution, and drive continuous improvement.
• Manages resource planning, workload balancing, and compliance with HSE standards and ABB Way requirements.
