Job summary

ABB is seeking a leader to run day-to-day Data Center Services activities in the United States. You will drive service excellence, supervise surge teams, and coach Field Service Engineers while collaborating across ABB teams to meet global objectives.

The role requires a strong technical background, leadership, and travel readiness. It is remote within the US with preference for Western/Mountain time zones and involves adherence to ABB safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business or commensurate experience.
• Knowledge of data center start-up and commissioning strategies and field service personnel development.
• Familiarity with MS Office, SAP and project-issue resolution tools (BIM, Compass, CxAlloy, Procore).
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Power delivery equipment knowledge (transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays).
• Strong safety standards, environmental compliance, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work authorization for the US.

Responsibilities

• Improves service availability, quality, and customer experience across field service operations.
• Develops and reviews field service strategy aligned with global objectives.
• Ensures customer focus, urgency, and care in all service interactions.
• Drives continuous improvement and KPI-based performance management.
• Oversees surge team operations, onboarding, training, and timesheet validation.
• Leads a culture of operational excellence and end-to-end service delivery.
• Manages resource planning, workload balancing, and compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborates with ABB teams to assign personnel and resolve issues.
