Job summary

ABB is seeking a CoE Field Service Operations Manager for the Data Center Services Center of Excellence in the United States. You will lead day-to-day service activities, drive surge team development, and ensure delivery excellence across the Data Center Service segment, with remote work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business or commensurate experience.
• Knowledge of Data Center Start-up and Commissioning strategies, field service personnel development and the electrical industry within the Data Center market
• Knowledge of MS suite of products including MS Project, Google Sheets, Docs, Drive, and Slides, SAP, and project issue resolution software (BIM, Compass, CxAlloy, Procore, etc.).
• Must be able to interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Technical understanding of power delivery equipment: transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays.
• Maintain high standards for safety and housekeeping and assure compliance with all environmental regulations
• Strong leadership, clear communication, teamwork, and a proven customerfocused mindset.
• Willing to travel up to 50% of time
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

• Implements service availability, quality and customer experience across field service operations.
• Develops, implements, and reviews field service strategy aligned with global business objectives.
• Ensures strong customer focus, urgency, and care in all service interactions to drive retention.
• Drives continuous improvement, firsttimeright execution, and KPIbased performance management.
• Identifies onsite opportunities to enhance customer operations and communicates them to account teams.
• Leads a culture of operational excellence, risk management, and effective endtoend service delivery.
• Manages resource planning, workload balancing, and compliance with all HSE standards and ABB Way requirements.
• Oversees Surge Team operations, including onboarding, training, compliance, and validation of timesheets, expenses, and supplier invoices.
• Provides leadership, coaching, and development for Field Service Engineers/Technicians to ensure highquality execution.
• Collaborates across ABB teams to assign personnel, resolve technical issues, support project execution, and drive continuous improvement.
