Job summary

ABB is seeking a CoE Field Service Operations Manager for the Data Center Division in the United States. This remote role within the US leads day-to-day service activities, with a focus on achieving high customer satisfaction and operational excellence across the Data Center Service segment.

You will oversee surge team operations, guide Field Service Engineers, manage resource planning, and collaborate with ABB teams to drive continuous improvement. Travel up to 50% required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business or commensurate experience.
• Experience in Data Center Start-up and Commissioning strategies and field service development.
• Knowledge of MS Office and SAP; familiarity with project issue resolution software.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Understanding power delivery equipment and safety standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer-focused mindset.
• Willing to travel up to 50% of time.

Responsibilities

• Improves service availability, quality, and customer experience across all field service operations.
• Develops, implements, and reviews field service strategy aligned with global business objectives.
• Ensures strong customer focus, urgency, and care in all service interactions to drive retention.
• Drives continuous improvement, firsttimeright execution, and KPIbased performance management.
• Identifies onsite opportunities to enhance customer operations and communicates them to account teams.
• Leads a culture of operational excellence, risk management, and effective endtoend service delivery.
• Manages resource planning, workload balancing, and compliance with all HSE standards and ABB Way requirements.
• Oversees Surge Team operations, including onboarding, training, compliance, and validation of timesheets, expenses, and supplier invoices.
• Provides leadership, coaching, and development for Field Service Engineers/Technicians to ensure highquality execution.
• Collaborates across ABB teams to assign personnel, resolve technical issues, support project execution, and drive continuous improvement.
