Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an Educator/Trainer to deliver coding education for PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. You will develop materials, present to coders and clinicians, and manage the education program in a fully remote setting.

You should have recent production coding experience and AHIMA or AAPC certification options. The role involves collaboration with Coding Leadership and IT, with flexible scheduling and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond High School in Medical Coding
• 5 years of medical coding experience preferred
• Experience with physician revenue cycle processes
• Specialty coding experience preferred (surgical, anesthesia, etc.)
• AHIMA or AAPC certifications encouraged

Responsibilities

• Deliver coding education to coders and clinicians, via in-person or virtual sessions.
• Develop and maintain coding education materials, tools, and presentations.
• Identify educational needs and coordinate sessions with leadership.
• Schedule and manage education programs using learning platforms.
• Create and update trainer guides and learner manuals.
• Provide train-the-trainer sessions for Coding Supervisors and Leads
