Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Remote Educator/Trainer to lead coding education for PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. The role requires recent coding experience and AHIMA or AAPC certifications, with a fully remote schedule Monday–Friday.

The position involves developing education programs, presenting to coders and clinicians, and coordinating ongoing training across multiple settings. The ideal candidate has 5 years in medical coding and specialization in physician coding areas.

Qualifications

• Recent production coding and/or coding integrity experience preferred.
• Specialty coding experience in surgical, anesthesia, radiology and other physician areas preferred.
• Experience in coder education and training is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Presents coding and documentation education to coders and clinicians, via in-person classes or virtual offerings.
• Develops and maintains coding education programs, tools and documents.
• Identifies educational needs and coordinates sessions with stakeholders.
• Schedules and delivers training using Learning Connection, ATMS, Skype or Teams.
• Creates and updates e-learning and instructor-led content with clear objectives.
