Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Educator/Trainer to lead coding education for PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. The role supports remote learning and develops programs for clinicians and coders across multiple specialties, with 5+ years in medical coding and AHIMA/AAPC certifications preferred.

The position is full-time and remote, with a 40-hour work week and a flexible schedule. Expect collaboration with leadership across Revenue Cycle and IT, plus ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Advanced training in Medical Coding Specialist program.
• 5 years of experience in medical coding with physician revenue cycle experience.
• Specialty coding experience in areas such as surgical, anesthesia, pain management, hepatology, nephrology, anticoagulation, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, dental coding, and other physician specialties.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Coding Leadership, IT, Revenue Cycle, and Compliance on education.
• Deliver coding education to coders and clinicians, in-person and virtual.
• Identify educational needs and develop training programs.
• Schedule and maintain education offerings using Learning platforms.
• Create web-based coding education programs and track progress.
• Provide train-the-trainer sessions for Coding Supervisors and Leads.
