Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams in a fully remote, full-time role. You will deliver initial training and continuing education, develop materials, and work with coding leadership to identify educational needs.

The position requires five years of medical coding experience, advanced coding training, and AHIMA/AAPC certifications. You will schedule sessions, create e-learning and in-person offerings, and coach trainers across the

Qualifications

• Advanced training in medical coding beyond high school.
• 5 years of experience in medical coding.
• Experience with physician revenue cycle workflows.
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS.
• Strong adult-learning and training delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Coding and IT leadership to deliver education.
• Present coding education to coders and clinicians.
• Develop and maintain coding education programs and materials.
• Identify educational needs and report trends.
• Schedule and deliver in-person and virtual trainings.
• Create train-the-trainer sessions for staff.
• Track progress and evaluate program effectiveness.
