Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. This full-time, remote role (Mon-Fri) collaborates with Coding Leadership and IT to deliver education, develop programs, and track outcomes.

Strong adult-learning skills and AHIMA/AAPC certifications are required, with 5 years in medical coding and physician revenue cycle experience. In this role, you will design and present training, maintain schedules, and advance coding education across multiple

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond High School includes an accredited Medical Coding program.
• Experience in physician revenue cycle processes is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in medical coding with related workflows.
• Specialty coding experience (e.g., surgical, anesthesia, radiology) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coding education to coders and clinicians, in person or virtually.
• Develop educational presentations, tools and documents for training.
• Identify coder education needs and tailor sessions accordingly.
• Schedule and manage education offerings across the organization.
• Create and maintain web-based coding education programs and track progress.
• Provide train-the-trainer sessions for supervisors and leads.
