Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced educator/trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. You will deliver initial training and ongoing education, develop courses and materials, and schedule sessions across the organization, using virtual and in-person formats.

Ideal candidates have recent production coding experience and AHIMA or AAPC credentials, with the ability to work remotely in the United States. A focus on specialty coding areas and adult learning concepts is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in medical coding including physician revenue cycle processes.
• Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Certifications from AHIMA or AAPC are preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coder education and training for PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams, including in-person and virtual classes.
• Develop educational presentations, tools and documents to support ongoing education.
• Identify coding education needs and coordinate with leadership to provide targeted sessions.
• Schedule and deliver trainings using Learning Connection, ATMS, Skype or Teams.
• Create and maintain web-based coding education programs and track progress.
