Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an experienced educator/trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams in a fully remote capacity. You will deliver initial and ongoing education to coders and clinicians, develop materials, and coordinate schedules to sustain high-quality coding practices across the organization.

The role requires AHIMA or AAPC credentials, 5+ years of medical coding experience, strong adult-learning skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office for virtual and in-person training

Qualifications

• Presents coding education and training to coders and clinicians.
• Develops educational presentations, tools and documents.
• Keeps education programs aligned with coding standards and best practices.
• Delivers both in-person and virtual training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Coding Leadership and IT leaders on education strategies.
• Develop and maintain web-based coding education programs; assign lessons and track progress.
• Schedule and deliver training sessions; adapt delivery to audience size and format.
• Identify coding educational needs and coordinate refresher trainings.
