Job summary

CommonSpirit seeks a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee coding. You will apply ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, CPT-4 to support the professional fee coding team, audit for accuracy, and educate staff to ensure compliant, high-quality documentation and billing.

You will onboard new hires, design training on Risk Adjustment, HCCs, and MEAT criteria, and work with leadership on strategic planning for coding excellence across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Two years of PB coder audits, education, and training experience.
• Five years of coding professional fee records.
• CPC/CCS/CCS-P or RHIT/RHIA certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of professional fee coding rules and Medicare regulations.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, NCCI and modifiers.
• Experience with Epic systems and regulatory coding standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits and provide follow-up education to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Onboard and train new staff; develop ongoing educational programs.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to PB coding teams.
• Lead standardization of coding practices across the organization.
• Develop training to improve documentation quality and billing accuracy.
