Job summary

CommonSpirit Health seeks a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee coding to ensure accuracy across ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, and HCPCS. You will perform internal audits and educate staff to close documentation gaps.

You will onboarding new hires and deliver ongoing training on Risk Adjustment, HCCs, and MEAT, while monitoring regulatory changes to ensure compliant billing practices across the PB coding teams.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of PB coder audits, education, and training experience.
• Five (5) years of experience coding professional fee records.
• CPC or CCS certifications or RHIT/RHIA credentials.
• Epic experience and knowledge of professional fee coding rules.
• Understanding Medicare billing regulations and modifiers.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and NCCI.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mastery of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and regulatory guidelines as SME for complex billing inquiries.
• Conduct systematic chart audits to identify gaps and track trends.
• Lead onboarding for new hires and educate on Risk Adjustment, HCCs, MEAT criteria.
• Develop and deploy training programs to keep coding teams current.
• Build relationships across coding teams to standardize practices.
• Use organizational skills to manage deadlines, present findings, and drive improvements.
