Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee coding. You will audit ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT-4 classifications, support the professional fee coding team, and standardize coding practices across the organization.

You will onboard new staff, develop training programs, monitor regulatory changes, and ensure timely, accurate implementation within PB coding teams. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Manages audits of PB coder records and education programs.
• Understands Medicare billing rules and professional fee coding guidelines.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes (NCCI, ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS).
• Develops and delivers staff education on coding and risk adjustment.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal audits of professional fee coding and document gaps.
• Provide follow-up education to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Onboard and train new staff; develop ongoing educational programs.
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning for compliant coding practices.
• Communicate regulatory updates to PB coding teams in a timely manner.
• Build relationships across coding teams to standardize practices.
