Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee to support accurate coding across the organization's PB coding teams. You will audit using ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, HCPCS and lead education and onboarding.

The role involves regulatory monitoring, development of training programs, and collaboration with leadership to ensure compliant billing and documentation quality.

Qualifications

• Two years of PB coder audits, education, and training experience.
• Five years of experience coding professional fee records.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Familiarity with Medicare billing rules and NCCI.
• Experience with regulatory coding standards and payer guidelines.
• Epic experience and healthcare coding software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits and provide education to ensure accuracy.
• Onboard and train new staff; develop ongoing educational programs.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement them in PB coding teams.
• Lead onboarding for new hires and mentor staff on Risk Adjustment and HCCs.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross‑department teams to standardize practices.
• Analyze data to identify gaps and drive improvements in compliance.
