Job summary

Vail Health Hospital is seeking a Clinic Scheduler to manage incoming calls, schedule patient appointments, and coordinate with providers and locations. The role involves using the EHR system to schedule procedures and collect accurate patient demographics, including addresses, phone numbers, and insurance details.

Faxes and requests are handled as part of daily tasks. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a medical office, and a working knowledge

Qualifications

• 2 years administration or similar experience preferred.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA and OSHA rules preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments; direct calls and messages to the right party.
• Schedule medical appointments by coordinating patients, providers, locations, and payers.
• Schedule appointments, tests, and procedures using the EHR scheduling system.
• Obtain accurate patient demographics including address, phone, and insurance information.
• Distribute faxes and help manage incoming requests.
