Job summary

Vail Health is seeking a Clinic Scheduler to handle incoming calls, coordinate appointments, and ensure accurate patient information using our EHR system. The role focuses on guiding scheduling with providers and keeping wait times minimal.

Candidates should have about two years of administrative or medical office experience and familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA regulations. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred; on-site work at our hospital in an accessible campus.

Qualifications

• 2 years administration or similar experience preferred.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules.
• Familiarity with scheduling appointments and patient flow.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and field scheduling questions for providers.
• Schedule medical appointments coordinating patients, providers, locations, and payers.
• Use the EHR scheduling software to place and adjust appointments.
• Collect patient demographics (address, phone, insurance) accurately.
• Distribute faxes and help manage scheduling requests.
