Job summary

Vail Health is seeking a Clinic Scheduler to manage scheduling with providers, answer incoming calls, and distribute messages. You will coordinate patient appointments, tests, and procedures while collecting accurate demographics and insurance information.

Two years of administration or similar experience and prior medical office exposure are preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and OSHA rules is also preferred, with a focus on accuracy and service orientation.

Qualifications

• 2 years administration or similar experience preferred.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and field scheduling questions with providers.
• Direct calls to appropriate parties and distribute messages.
• Schedule medical appointments and coordinate with patients, providers, locations, and payers.
• Leverage the EHR scheduling software to schedule appointments, tests, and procedures.
• Obtain accurate patient demographics including address, phone, and insurance information.
• Distribute faxes and manage requests.
