Vail Health Clinic Scheduler is seeking an organized professional to answer calls, coordinate appointments, and manage scheduling with providers, patients, and payers. The role uses the EHR system to schedule tests and procedures while collecting accurate demographics and insurance details.

The ideal candidate will have about 2 years of administrative experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA rules.

Qualifications

• 2 years administration or similar experience preferred.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules medical appointments coordinating patients, providers, locations, payers.
• Answers calls and directs inquiries to the appropriate teams.
• Schedules tests and procedures using the EHR system.
• Collects accurate patient demographics and insurance details.
• Manages drop box and patient portal requests for scheduling.
• Distributes faxes and messages to the right departments.
• Supports a culture of Just Culture and HIPAA compliance.
