Job summary

Vail Health Hospital is seeking a Clinic Scheduler to join our team. The role involves scheduling patient appointments, coordinating with providers, locations and payers, and handling demographic data with accuracy.

Responsibilities include using our EHR scheduling system to arrange tests and procedures, distributing faxes, and answering calls. Prior medical office experience and knowledge of HIPAA/OSHA rules are preferred. PRN benefits apply.

Qualifications

• 2 years administration or similar experience preferred.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and coordinate with patients, providers, locations and payers.
• Use electronic health record scheduling software to schedule tests and procedures.
• Obtain patient demographics including address, phone number and insurance information.
• Distribute faxes and manage needed requests.
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct questions to the appropriate party.
