Job summary

Assurant, Inc. seeks a Supervisor of Financial Services Claims to lead a remote U.S. team delivering embedded benefits for a major client program. You’ll coach staff, oversee adjudication and investigations, and ensure quality, service levels, and employee development.

You will guide changes, support automation initiatives, and partner with other departments while presenting opportunities to grow future leaders and strengthen the claims experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Adjuster license.
• 5+ years of related experience in the function or similar activity.
• 2+ years of leadership experience and/or experience managing people.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to coach and develop others, adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of up to 15 claims adjusters, setting clear expectations and fostering a positive, accountable environment.
• Oversee claims activities including administration, adjudication, compliance, investigations, and sound settlements.
• Use data to identify trends, coach on performance, and manage workload to meet service levels.
• Handle non-routine escalations and serve as SME for processes and training.
• Provide coaching on system/product/process changes and support change communications.
• Conduct performance reviews and support employee development and engagement.
• Collaborate across departments, attend client meetings, and contribute to special projects and improvements.
