Job summary

Encova Insurance is offering a full-time summer internship for 2027 with a 40-hour work week. Preference for hybrid or on-site work in our Charleston, WV office, with eligibility for remote work in listed payroll states.

Interns must be enrolled and have completed at least 60 credit hours. The program includes a structured experience with exposure to claims processing and customer service in the insurance industry.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled and have completed at least 60 credit hours.
• One-year previous full-time experience in customer service and/or claims intake preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Products and ability to work across multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive initial claim information from customers via phone, email, or fax.
• Provide information on loss reporting options and determine applicable policy coverage.
• On-board new associates with leadership team.
• Analyze claim information and triage for further actions.
• Document facts of loss in the system and respond to inquiries.
• Review intake processes and update procedures.
