Job summary

Harris Computer Systems’ Systems & Software division is seeking a Project Manager to guide CIS software implementation projects for utilities. The role supports Waterfall and Agile, manages plans, timelines and budgets, and coordinates cross-functional teams across R&D, Sales and Delivery.

The successful candidate will work remotely from anywhere in Canada or the US, with travel up to 75% for North American projects, and must hold a valid passport.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in project management or related role, preferably software implementations or technical environments.
• Experience in managing project budgets ranging from $10k to over $2.5M.
• Familiarity with Jira, Spira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Clarizen.
• Basic understanding of Waterfall project management; exposure to Agile methodologies is a plus.
• Experience tracking project financials or budgets is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with team members and customers.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage tasks with guidance.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on learning and delivering results.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams such as Sales, R&D, and Delivery.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate components of utility CIS software implementation projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Maintain and update detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets to keep projects on track.
• Identify and report issues, risks, or delays to the PMO Manager and stakeholders for resolution.
• Provide clear communication and regular updates on project progress to the PMO Manager and project teams.
• Assist in maintaining project management documentation and processes for consistency across projects.
• Adhere to established PM methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile, and support continuous improvement.
