Job summary

ABB is seeking a Channel Applications Engineer to support technical sales for LV drives and PLC/HMI products. You will design tailored solutions, advise on specifications, and help channel partners deliver value to end customers.

The role supports remote work with residency in the US and requires extensive travel to customer sites. You will collaborate with engineering, R&D, and the channel team to drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with 4+ years LV drive experience.
• Associate degree with 6+ years LV drive experience.
• Strong technical communication skills.
• Understanding of Serial and Ethernet protocols (Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, Etc).
• PLC programming experience (ABB, Rockwell, Siemens, Square D).
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and reports.
• Travel willingness >50% to customer sites.
• US work authorization for ABB.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical knowledge to design tailored solutions and negotiate deviations.
• Strengthen customer relationships and address feedback and complaints.
• Assist Channel team with presentations and demonstrations as the product expert.
• Analyze drive and PLC/HMI motor applications and coordinate with related groups.
