Job summary

ABB Drive Products is seeking a Channel Applications Engineer to deliver technical sales execution to channel partners and customers across the U.S. The role focuses on Low Voltage drives, PLC/HMI knowledge, and tailored solutions, with remote-friendly options but travel >50% to sites as needed.

You will collaborate with product engineering, R&D, and the sales team, lead product demonstrations, and provide high‑quality technical guidance to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field with 4+ years of LV drive experience.
Associate degree with 6+ years of LV drive experience.
Exceptional technical application and communication skills.
Understanding of Serial and Ethernet protocols (Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, Etc).
Experience programming industrial PLCs (ABB, Rockwell, Siemens, Square D, or others).
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and reports.
Willingness to travel >50% and work authorization in the US.

Responsibilities

Apply technical knowledge to design and tailor solutions meeting customer needs.
Strengthen customer relationships and address complaints promptly.
Support Channel team with presentations and demonstrations as product expert.
Analyze drive/PLC/HMI issues and coordinate cross-functional actions for solutions.
