Job summary

ABB Drive Products seeks a VFD Support Specialist to provide technical assistance to customers, sales channels, and product teams. You will diagnose, program, and troubleshoot Low Voltage Drives and related systems in a hybrid role based in the US.

You'll collaborate with engineering, field service, and warranty teams, maintain detailed case records, and stay current with VFD technology and industry trends to drive reliable solutions for ABB's customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 4 years of electrical/technical experience, or an associate's degree with 6 years, or a high school diploma with 8 years.
Knowledge of how Variable Frequency Drives work (REQUIRED).
Ability to communicate with customers in English, verbally and in writing; proficient with computers.
U.S. work authorization required to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support via phone and email for VFD-related issues, including commissioning and warranty evaluations.
Assist with drive programming, parameter configuration, and control system integration.
Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve complex issues.
Coordinate with warranty team to initiate replacements and labor authorizations.
Document support cases and best practices using Salesforce Case Management.
Stay current with VFD technologies, software updates, and industry trends.
