Job summary

Pride-Health is actively hiring a Certified Medical Coder (Remote) for outpatient and ED coding. This remote contract role requires 3+ years in outpatient coding and proficiency with ICD-10, EPIC, and 3M/HDS. Prior acute care hospital coding experience and relevant certifications are preferred.

The position offers a 100% remote schedule with a weekend work possibility and a extendable contract. Strong knowledge of anatomy and MS Word/Excel is beneficial for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of outpatient coding experience.
• Experience with ICD-10 coding and ED/outpatient coding.
• Proficiency using EPIC and 3M/HDS systems.
• Acute care hospital coding experience and anatomy knowledge.
• MS Word and Excel proficiency.
• CCS, RHIA, RHIT or CCP credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate outpatient and ED medical coding.
• Review and assign ICD-10, CPT-4 codes and related codes.
• Ensure payer, federal and coding guideline compliance.
• Research and resolve coding issues.
• Utilize EPIC and 3M/HDS coding applications.
