Job summary

Groundworks is seeking a centralized Permit Supervisor to lead permitting operations across multiple branches and jurisdictions. You will oversee a team of Permit Coordinators, drive process improvements, and ensure code-compliant submissions.

The role requires strong organizational and analytical skills, experience in permitting and leadership, and the ability to coordinate with engineering, CAD, sales, and leadership across states. Office or remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of permitting, operations, or project coordination experience.
• 2+ years supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of permitting processes, ICC code, and jurisdictional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide daily direction to Permit Coordinators across multiple branches.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts.
• Develop SOPs, ROEs, and jurisdictional requirement sheets.
• Monitor permitting metrics and generate weekly to annual reports.
• Coordinate with engineering, CAD, sales, and branch leadership to prevent delays.
• Resolve escalations and blockers with internal teams or external agencies.
