Job summary

Groundworks seeks a results-driven Permit Coordinator Supervisor to oversee permitting operations across branches, coaching a team of Permit Coordinators and driving timely, code-compliant submissions. You will build standardized processes, training materials, and cross-training programs to improve efficiency across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of permitting, operations, or project coordination experience.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of permitting processes, ICC code, and jurisdictional requirements.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Development: supervise and direct Permit Coordinators across branches; review priorities and blockers; oversee recruitment and retention; develop training resources; mentor staff for advancement.
• Permitting Operations: ensure timely, compliant permit submissions; track status; resolve escalations; stay updated on code changes; partner with engineering/CAD/sales/leadership.
• Process & Reporting: establish SOPs, ROEs, jurisdiction sheets; monitor permitting metrics; prepare leadership reports.
• Collaboration & Communication: lead cross-team meetings; share updates; develop customer/county communications; support rollout of new products/processes.
• Compliance & Administration: maintain digital records; process payments; conduct branch visits; lead annual reviews and bonus documentation.
