Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Category Manager, Logistics Services to lead sourcing and management of transportation, fleet, couriers, and related logistics services. You will develop category strategies, lead negotiations, and drive cost, service, and risk improvements while partnering with internal clients and cross‑functional teams.

Reporting to the Director of Supply Management, this role requires strong data-driven decision making, supplier management, and stakeholder collaboration to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Management or related field required; Master's preferred.
• 7+ years of related experience in category management or sourcing in a large organization.
• Professional certification (C.P.M./CPSM/CIRM/CPIM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategies for logistics services and related spend.
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives from strategy to award and implementation.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing to secure favorable terms.
• Analyze spend, market conditions, and business needs to drive cost and service improvements.
• Manage supplier performance and governance; monitor KPIs and risk.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Risk, Analytics, and other teams as needed.
• Provide timely reporting on strategies, activities, and supplier performance.
• Maintain category governance and documentation.
