Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Category Manager, Logistics Services to lead strategic sourcing for transportation, fleet and courier services. You will partner with internal clients and suppliers to drive category strategies, negotiate favorable contracts, and manage supplier performance while improving cost, service, and risk across a broad logistics portfolio.

Reporting to Supply Management, this role requires strong collaboration and data-driven decision making; travel may be required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Management or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience; experience with third‑party spend preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategies for logistics services (transportation, fleet, couriers).
• Lead sourcing initiatives from strategy to contracting and implementation.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing to secure favorable terms.
• Analyze spend, market conditions and business needs to deliver measurable value.
• Define KPIs and governance for supplier performance and risk.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to drive category strategy and governance.
• Maintain documentation and provide reporting on sourcing activities and outcomes.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Risk and Analytics teams as needed.
