Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Category Manager, Logistics Services to lead sourcing and supplier-management for transportation, fleet and related logistics. This virtual role supports internal clients across the United States, reporting to Supply Management.

You will drive cost, service and risk improvements. Ideal candidate has 7+ years in procurement, strong collaboration skills and a track record of negotiations, vendor performance and data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Management or related field is required.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Experience managing third-party spend in a large organization preferred.
• Strong leadership, collaboration and stakeholder-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Category Strategy & Planning: develop and execute category strategies for logistics services.
• Strategic Sourcing: lead complex sourcing from strategy to implementation.
• Negotiation & Commercial Management: secure favorable terms and manage risk.
• Cost, Value & Performance Improvement: identify and track cost-saving opportunities.
• Analysis & Business Cases: evaluate spend, drivers, and options with stakeholders.
• Supplier Management & Performance: set KPIs and governance; drive improvements.
• Stakeholder Management: align internal clients and cross-functional teams.
• Category Governance & Reporting: document and report on activities and results.
