Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group (CSAA IG) is actively hiring a Casualty Evaluator for remote work. You will own injury exposure, handle both represented and unrepresented 1st and 3rd party auto liability claims, and may manage simple first-party medical payments and PIP in a variety of states with an independent settlement limit up to $50,000.

In this role you will support claims through investigation, negotiation and settlement, ensuring accurate coverage determinations and timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• 2 years of related professional experience.
• 2 years of claims experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and make good decisions.
• Strong customer service orientation and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Work in a virtual environment with option to work in an office setting.
• Manage communications by writing, telephone and electronic means.
• Own claims where injury exposure is identified and handle 1st and 3rd party auto liability cases.
• Handle medical payments and PIP when applicable.
• Support catastrophe activities and handle simple homeowner losses when needed.
• Investigate, negotiate, and settle injury claims with exposure under $50,000.
• Present cases and negotiate settlement within authority.
• Perform coverage determinations and advise on appropriate action.
