Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or a combination of education and 2+ directly relevant work experience.
• 2 years of related professional experience
• 2 years of claims experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Strong ability to work independently.
• Strong decision making ability.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Basic math and computer skills and ability to type 30 wpm.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills and good command of the English language.
• Ability to function in a team environment.
• Ability to travel on rare occasions.
• Ability to work extended hours and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assigned as owning adjuster when injury exposure is identified.
• Handles simple to moderate 1st and 3rd party auto liability cases.
• May handle 1st party Medical payments and PIP.
• Triage and manage communications via writing, phone, and email.
• Investigate, negotiate, settle, and resolve injury claims under $50,000.
• May assist in catastrophes and handle simple homeowner losses.
• Present cases for settlement and manage subrogation where appropriate.
