Qualifications

• High school diploma or a combination of education and 2+ directly relevant work experience.
• 2 years of related professional experience
• 2 years of claims experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Strong ability to work independently.
• Strong decision making ability.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Basic math and computer skills and ability to type 30 wpm.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills and good command of the English language.
• Ability to travel on rare occasions.
• Ability to work extended hours and/or weekends.
• 1+ years casualty experience
• BA/BS in business, insurance or related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assigned as owning adjuster when injury exposure is identified and handles first and third-party cases up to $50,000.
• Handles claims in multiple states including licensed states and statutory states.
• Handles homeowner liability low complexity property damage claims.
• Supports the claims organization by handling Small Claims related matters to conclusion.
• May own claims of low complexity when supporting catastrophes.
• May handle first party non-liability-based injury claim (Medical Payment and PIP).
• Working in a virtual environment with option to work in an office setting.
• Manage communications in writing, by telephone and by e-mail.
