Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group (CSAA IG) seeks a Casualty Evaluator to work remotely across the United States (excluding Hawaii and Alaska). You will own low-to-moderate exposure injury claims, manage auto liability cases, and handle first-party medical payments as needed.

The role supports homeowners and liability claims with opportunities for cross-state experience and flexible hours. Ideal candidates have strong analytical and communication skills, work well independently, and can travel occasionally.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ directly relevant work experience.
• 2 years of related professional experience.
• 2 years of claims experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Strong ability to work independently.
• Strong decision making ability.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Basic math and computer skills and ability to type 30 wpm.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills and good command of the English language.
• Ability to function in a team environment.
• Ability to complete training courses pertinent to job duties.
• Understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assigned as owning adjuster when injury exposure is identified.
• Handles simple to moderate 1st and 3rd party auto liability cases.
• May handle first party Medical payment and PIP.
• Handle Homeowner liability low complexity property damage claims.
• Investigate, negotiate, settle and/or resolve injury claims under $50,000.
• Present cases in Committee and negotiate settlements.
• Triaging and managing communications via written, telephone and electronic means.
• Make coverage determinations and advise customers on proper actions.
