Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group (CSAA IG) is hiring a Casualty Evaluator - Remote for the United States, excluding Hawaii and Alaska. You will own moderate auto liability cases, handle first/third party claims under $50,000, and collaborate across states with occasional travel when required.

The role supports homeowners and small claims, with emphasis on independent settlement decisions and strong written communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or 2+ years of related work experience.
• 2+ years of claims experience and 2+ years of professional experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with sound decision-making.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Basic math and computer skills, ability to type 30 wpm.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work extended hours/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Handle mostly simple to moderate auto liability claims involving injury for represented or unrepresented claimants.
• May handle first party Medical Payments and PIP.
• Triage caseload in designated queues and manage communications in writing, phone, and email.
• Conduct investigations, analyze evidence, and determine coverage and settlement strategies.
• Represent insureds in settlements/conferences when necessary and participate in rare arbitrations or trials.
• Assist with subrogation when applicable and manage claims within authority up to $50,000.
