Job summary

Merck is seeking a Cardiovascular Disease Specialist to drive patient impact by engaging with healthcare providers in assigned territory and collaborating with Account Executives and IDS leaders.

You will build relationships with cardiologists, primary care physicians, and other professionals, execute territory plans, and stay current on Merck products, ensuring compliant, patient-focused solutions while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent with 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• S2 level with 3+ years sales or 6 years healthcare-related experience.
• Able to analyze complex data and leverage insights for strategic sales plans.
• Comfortable using digital tools to engage with healthcare professionals.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing market conditions and customer expectations.
• Proven track record of success in educational and professional environments with strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
• Works well independently and in team settings with good time management.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reside in the territory or within 25 miles of workload center for metro, or within 75 miles for non-metro; relocation at own expense if outside.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory-level business plan in alignment with policies and ethics.
• Maintain current product knowledge and certifications for the portfolio.
• Conduct compliant product sales discussions with healthcare providers to align needs with labeling.
• Provide management with regular updates on customer needs and marketplace dynamics.
• Be knowledgeable on HQ-approved information regarding products, disease, and marketplace.
• Monitor business performance against objectives using company tools.
