Job summary

Merck is seeking a Cardiovascular Disease Specialist to drive patient impact by leveraging scientific expertise in the Phoenix, AZ area. You will be the primary contact for customers within your territory and collaborate with Account Executives and IDS leaders to deliver patient-focused solutions.

You will develop relationships with cardiologists and healthcare professionals across offices, IDNs, and hospitals, while maintaining product knowledge, following policies, and pursuing territory goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or high school diploma with 0–3 years of related work experience in healthcare or scientific fields or sales.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or high school diploma with 3+ years of sales experience or 6+ years in healthcare/scientific fields.
• Ability to analyze complex data and develop strategic sales plans.
• Comfortable using digital tools to engage healthcare professionals.
• Willing to travel up to 25% with overnight stays as needed.
• Valid driver’s license andResidence within the territory or nearby.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory-level business plan in alignment with company policies, standards, and ethics.
• Maintain current product knowledge and certifications for the company’s portfolio.
• Conduct compliant product sales discussions with health care providers to align customer needs with product labeling.
• Provide management with regular updates on customer needs, marketplace dynamics, and progress toward quality goals.
• Be knowledgeable on approved information regarding products, disease, and marketplace.
• Monitor business performance against objectives using company tools to support planning and sales impact.
