Job summary

Merck in the United States seeks a Cardiovascular Disease Specialist to drive patient impact by leveraging scientific expertise and serving as the primary contact for customers in the assigned territory. You will collaborate with Account Executives and leaders to deliver patient-centered solutions across healthcare settings.

This field-based role covers the Phoenix, AZ territory with travel up to 25% to support client meetings and territory coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 0–3 years relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 3+ years sales experience or high school with at least 6 years relevant work experience.
• Able to analyze complex data and leverage insights to develop strategic sales plans.
• Comfortable using digital tools and platforms to engage with healthcare professionals.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing market conditions and customer expectations.
• Proven track record of success in educational and professional environments, with strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
• Works well independently or in team settings and maintains strong organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reside in the territory or within 25 miles of workload center for metro areas, or within 75 miles for non-metro.

Responsibilities

• Develop territory-level business plan aligned with policies, standards, and ethics.
• Maintain current product knowledge and certifications for the portfolio.
• Perform compliant product sales discussions with healthcare providers to align needs with labeling.
• Provide management with updates on customer needs, marketplace dynamics, and quality goals.
• Be knowledgeable on HQ-approved information regarding products, disease, and marketplace.
• Monitor business performance against objectives using company tools.
