Job summary

Denali Universal Services is hiring a Cook Assistant to support the Head Cook in a remote North Slope camp in Alaska. You will assist in meal prep, cooking, and serving, while upholding food safety and sanitation standards in a high-demand kitchen environment.

The role requires teamwork, strong organization, and good communication. Expect a 3 weeks on/3 weeks off or 2x2 rotation, 12-hour shifts, and travel between Anchorage and the site with housing and meals provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a HS diploma or equivalent.
• Alaska Food Worker Card is required.
• Able to read, write, speak and understand English proficiently.
• Ability to work in a team and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and menus.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Monitor food quality and freshness.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
