Job summary

NMS is hiring a kitchen helper for remote Alaska camp locations. The role is part-time/on-call and involves sanitation, food prep, stocking, and serving duties across kitchen, storeroom, dining, and serving areas.

Requires ability to stand for long shifts, and completion of pre-employment checks including safety requirements. Candidate must be able to work within a team in a remote camp environment and travel to assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long shifts (12 hours).
• Experience in a commercial kitchen or vocational training is preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment requirements including drug test, fit for duty, and hearing test.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation and assist cooks in a remote camp kitchen.
• Stock and prepare food and service areas; clean and sanitize equipment.
• Set up and clean dining and serving areas; assist with occasional cooking tasks.
• Follow safety guidelines and notify supervisor of issues.
