Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of work experience in a commercial kitchen or related training.
• Alaska Food Workers Card and/or ServSafe Certification upon hire.
• Pass pre-employment testing including drug, physical, fit-for-duty, and hearing tests.
• Ability to cooperate in a team and work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks and coordinate activities within the food service area.
• Prepare food and cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, meats, etc.
• Stock products in service and storage areas.
• Clean dishes and kitchen equipment; organize storage areas.
• Washes objects by hand or with cleaning equipment.
• Clean and sanitize dining, kitchen, and storage areas.
• Assist with large scheduled cleaning projects.
• Remove garbage from assigned areas.
• Set up and clean tables, snack bars, and serving lines.
• May be required to prepare food or cook occasionally.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation standards and report issues.
