Job summary

NANA Management Services is hiring a Remote Kitchen Helper for Milne Point Camp on the North Slope, Alaska. The role supports sanitation, cleaning, food prep, stocking, and serving in a remote camp kitchen and storeroom.

The position operates on a 3-week on / 3-week off rotation originating from Anchorage, AK. Responsibilities include assisting cooks, preparing various foods, stocking areas, cleaning, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have or obtain an Alaska Food Workers Card and/or ServSafe Certification upon hire.
• Must pass pre-employment requirements including drug test, physical, fit for duty assessment and hearing test.
• Must be able to work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers and clients.
• Must be able to stand for 12 hours per shift and live in dormitory style camp settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks and coordinate activities within a food service area.
• Prepare food and cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, meats, etc.
• Maintain products at proper levels in preparation, serving, or storage areas.
• Stock various food service areas with products and materials.
• Clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and store properly.
• Wash objects by hand or with cleaning equipment.
• Clean dining, kitchen, or storage areas and equipment; ensure safety and sanitation.
