Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group is seeking a California Employment Attorney for a remote contract assignment anticipated to last approximately 2 to 6 months. The attorney will support a single client with a high-volume portfolio of employment-related matters and will manage claims from pre-litigation through the litigation process when necessary.

The ideal candidate has active CA Bar membership, resides in California, and at least 4 years of CA employment law experience, including handling litigation

Qualifications

• Active California Bar membership in good standing.
• Reside and practice in California.
• 4+ years of California employment law experience.
• Experience in-house or at a law firm in employment law.
• Experience handling employment litigation, including research, motions, pleadings, briefs, and depositions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume portfolio of California employment law claims from pre-litigation through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents in compliance with CA law.
• Take and defend depositions and support all phases of the litigation process when needed.
• Evaluate claims, develop case strategy, and participate in settlement negotiations.
