Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group is seeking a California Employment Attorney for a remote contract assignment anticipated to last approximately 2 to 6 months. The attorney will support a single client with a high-volume, revolving portfolio of employment-related matters and will play a key role in managing claims from pre-litigation through the litigation process when necessary.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar membership in good standing.
• Minimum 4 years of California employment law experience.
• Current in-house or law firm employment law experience.
• Experience handling employment litigation matters, including research, motion practice, pleadings, briefs, and depositions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume portfolio of California employment law claims from pre-litigation to resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents in compliance with California employment laws.
• Take and defend depositions; support all phases of litigation when settlements fail.
• Evaluate claims, develop strategy, and participate in settlement negotiations and other dispute resolution efforts.
• Independently manage assigned matters with minimal supervision.
