Job summary

Mindrift.ai is seeking a part-time CAD specialist to design geometry for long-form engineering tasks in a real CAD environment and to build reference CAD solutions for AI-agent training. You will evaluate AI agents' CAD task attempts and collaborate with CFD engineers, preparing geometry for CFD simulations. Fully remote, self-managed schedule, 10–20 hours weekly, with performance-based bonuses.

Laptop and reliable internet required; prior CATIA/SolidWorks/Creo experience welcomed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5+ years of professional hands-on CAD modeling experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Creo, or similar tools.
• Active professional CAD license owned by the contributor.
• Comfort with Python and GitHub.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Experience preparing geometry for simulation using ANSYS or similar tools.
• Master's or PhD in a relevant field (preferred).
• Availability for 10-20 hours per week during active project phases.
• Laptop and stable internet connection for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Design part geometry for long-form engineering tasks in a real CAD environment.
• Build reference CAD solutions for AI-agent training and evaluation.
• Evaluate and judge AI agents' CAD task attempts.
• Prepare geometry that can be used by CFD engineers for simulation.
• Collaborate with CFD engineers who simulate the designed geometry.
