Job summary

Mindrift is seeking a highly skilled CAD engineer to train and evaluate AI agents operating inside a real CAD environment on long engineering tasks. You will design part geometry, build reference solutions, and judge the agent's attempts, collaborating with CFD engineers.

Remote work from the United States is supported. The role requires hands-on CAD modelling with major tools and a proactive approach to integrating AI-assisted workflows on complex mechanical designs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (Master/PhD a plus).
• 5+ years CAD modelling with major tools (CATIA/SolidWorks/NX/Creo).
• Active CAD licence required.
• Experience preparing geometry for simulation (ANSYS or similar).
• Familiarity with Python and GitHub; English B2+.

Responsibilities

• Design part geometry for AI agent training within a real CAD environment.
• Train and evaluate AI agents on long engineering tasks.
• Build reference solutions and judge agent attempts.
• Collaborate with CFD engineers to simulate geometries.
