Job summary

Cloudera seeks a Business Value Manager to translate complex data and AI capabilities into quantified outcomes. You will shape deal strategy, craft CFO-grade business cases, and drive value narratives across multi-year cycles, engaging C-suite and senior stakeholders.

You will partner with Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Product to ensure architectures deliver durable economic efficiency in AI-driven environments, while scaling with AI tools and automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in value engineering, strategy consulting, or equivalent customer-facing roles
• Experience driving customer engagements and cross-functional work
• Strong ability to reason in a structured manner with quantitative analysis
• Excellent communication skills translating complex concepts into insights
• Hands-on deal and sales experience with sales teams in complex enterprise deals
• Strong financial acumen including modeling (DCF, NPV, IRR) and linking tech to P&L
• Experience influencing enterprise deal cycles and commercial outcomes
• Solid understanding of modern data platforms, distributed systems, and AI/ML workloads
• Ability to reason about evolving cost drivers in AI/data environments
• Hands-on experience using AI tools to support analysis and content generation
• Executive presence to engage CIO/CFO/CDO and senior stakeholders
• High ownership mindset in ambiguous, high-growth settings

Responsibilities

• Serve as the business value architect for strategic deals in a defined sales territory.
• Own value-focused customer engagements and stakeholder alignment.
• Drive value narratives linking AI architectures to revenue uplift and cost optimization.
• Engage C-suite to shape enterprise AI and data strategies.
• Build CFO-grade business cases (TCO, ROI, NPV, IRR) with evolving cost dynamics.
• Lead value discovery engagements mapping current to future-state AI-native architectures.
• Support multi-year deal cycles through commercial structuring and scenario modeling.
• Ensure solution design aligns with commercial objectives for performance and efficiency.
• Contribute to global value selling thought leadership and enablement.
• Scale analysis with AI tools to automate repeatable value assets.
