Job summary

Cloudera is seeking a Business Value Manager to translate complex data and AI capabilities into quantified economic outcomes. You will partner with sales and executives to drive ARR growth by embedding value narratives into deal strategy and building CFO-grade business cases.

You will lead value discovery and engage senior stakeholders, shaping AI-native architectures and durable economic efficiency across enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in value engineering, strategy consulting, or equivalent
• Experience driving customer engagements and cross-functional collaboration
• Strong ability to reason in a structured manner, with quantitative analysis
• Excellent communication translating complex technical/financial concepts
• Hands-on deal and sales experience with enterprise deals
• Strong financial acumen including modeling (DCF, NPV, IRR)
• Understanding of modern data platforms, AI workloads
• Experience using AI tools to support analysis and content generation
• Executive presence with CIO/CFO/CDO and senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Deal Support: act as the business value architect for strategic deals
• Stakeholder Alignment: map stakeholders across senior sales and account teams
• Value-driven Deal Strategy: embed quantified value narratives into deal strategy
• Executive Engagement: engage C-suite to shape enterprise AI and data strategies
• Financial Business Cases: build CFO-grade business cases (TCO, ROI, NPV, IRR)
• Value Discovery: map current-state to future-state AI-native architectures with quantified drivers
• Deal Cycle Support: model scenarios for multi-year deal cycles
• Solution Alignment: align architecture with commercial objectives with Sales/Engineering
• Thought Leadership: contribute to global value selling initiatives
• Scale & Automation: leverage AI tools to automate value models
